welcome to the desert of the real

OH FUCKING STOP IT.
Congratulations on having FEELINGS, most inept bunch of university trustees ever, on the issue of firing a football coach who doesn’t know to report child rape cases to police.  I suppose they felt awful for the victims, as well.
Fuck these elitist idiots.

Okay, I don’t know where I’m going with this, but hopefully some of you will understand me and not misinterpret what I’m trying to say.
I can’t really wrap my mind around the fact that people are angry about the board finding the decision to fire Joe Paterno DIFFICULT. He worked there for decades, was their FRIEND, and obviously when something this horrible happens, you never want to punish someone you know personally. It makes sense that the Board of Trustees had a rough time going through all the facts, but they understood that firing him was the right thing to do. The fact that they ‘have feelings’ makes them human.
I think more people are pissed off about this because they don’t actually KNOW Joe Paterno OR the board members. They’re just names and faces in a paper and are easy targets, they’re not bad people.
I know I am one to want to immediately retaliate when something awful happens, but imagine being in their position. They obviously made the right choice in firing him as well as the President, but when you have a connection to someone, making the right decision can feel wrong.
Is that so hard to understand?
