welcome to the desert of the real

i think so. when you find out your friend has ignored a rapist's crimes that changes - or should change - how you see your friend. sandusky is accused of molesting 50 children. some of those victims would have been spared if paterno spoke up sooner. these board members are full of shit making sadfaces about the situation. what about the kids who were attacked from 2002-2011? how bout a picture of them looking enraged that these trustees felt bad (wah) about firing a man who looked the other way?

well obviously your opinion would and should change, but at the same time, when you’ve known someone for such a long time, it’s still difficult to immediately cast them out. of course Paterno should’ve spoken up sooner, everyone knows that, but I’m sure Penn State has a lot of shit to go through after they fired him. no one wants to find out that someone they know has done something horrible, and of course anger is an initial response, but all in all the board did the right thing. when stuff like this happens it doesn’t just happen overnight, there’s a lot of other shit that goes into it. while everyone wants justice as soon as possible, it doesn’t come that easily. also the article didn’t make the trustees sound like they were preparing for a funeral, they just sounded sorry and disappointed; embarrassed even that something like this could have happened. but in the end they made the right decision and hopefully Sandusky will be dropping his soap a lot in prison and Paterno will end up paying for his negligence.
